Human approved automation · The manifesto

The BlueArc manifesto.

What we believe about AI, software and the people who run businesses with them. Written down so you can hold us to it.

Nine beliefs

What we believe.

  1. Software should ask before it acts.

  2. AI is a brilliant apprentice and a dangerous boss.

  3. Every decision that matters deserves a human fingerprint.

  4. Proof beats promises. Every action should leave a receipt.

  5. If software makes you feel stupid, the software is wrong, not you.

  6. Your data is yours. It lives in Australia and it is not our training set.

  7. We would rather lose a sale than promise magic.

  8. Time saved is a side effect. The point is a business you are proud to run.

  9. The goal is not less of you in the business. It is more of you where you matter.

The never list

What our AI never does.

  • Our AI never acts on your money, your people or your compliance position without a named person's approval.
  • Never hides why it suggested something.
  • Never pretends to be human.
  • Never buries the off switch.

The loop that keeps these promises is the Green Light Method: Propose, Check, Green light, Act, Receipt. The category it defines is explained on the human approved automation answer page.
